How: installing ActiveX in Windows 2000

ActiveX is a technology originally by Microsoft, a small program on your computer and actively to describe interaction and exchange of information with other programs on your computer.

Need some pages ActiveX install until you can access the content on the site. You must enable the ability of ActiveX in Windows 2000 before you can install it. Once you have installed ActiveX to a particular site, it is part of your computer and you need to install even if you delete it. Difficulty: easy

    Click on "Start" and select "Programs".

Click on "Internet Explorer" to start your Web browser.

    Click "Tools" on the file menu and select "Internet Options"

  • Select the tab that reads "Security".

    Click "Custom level" and select the button next to "Enable" in "ActiveX controls and plug-in the" radio box.

  • Click "OK".

    Confirm your settings by clicking "Yes" then click "OK".

  • Visit a page that that requires that you have installed ActiveX. Right-click the bar that appears at the top of the page and select "Run ActiveX Control."

    Click on "Run" when the security warning dialog displays, to run the page and control.
