Where is X active on a computer?

According to Microsoft, ActiveX is the name for the control of small programs.

These are small programs also known as the "modules" and when browsing the Internet installed. ActiveX controls allow the user and access to multimedia content such as animations on some Web sites use ActiveX controls to see. Location

ActiveX control files are downloaded and stored in a default folder on your hard of disk.

The default location of the folder is: "Windows\Downloaded Program files" (see references).

Access

To access the ActiveX files, click on the "Start menu" is located at the left bottom of the screen.

Click "My computer" or "computer innovation." The new window, locate the "Windows" folder called. This can be found under the symbol "C" or "System folder". Click one of these icons, leaves you the list of folders and search for "Windows" with a coloured Manila folder icon.

Change the download location

Warning

Change the operating system registry key is recommended by Microsoft and only experienced users should try to change and modify the system files and registry keys.

Internet Explorer uses a standard download and access control files folder. Change the location of the wrong registry can cause problems when you try to access the control files later.

Misunderstandings

ActiveX is not real software.
