Windows Live Messenger is made of standard E-mail with Microsoft Windows service.

Select the default mail handler in the e-Mail drop-down list.
Click "OK" button.
Windows 7 and Vista
Click tasks on the "Start" button in your bar.
Select "Default programs".
Click the link "set default programs".
Select the program you want to act as your new mail Manager by default.
