Customize ActiveX controls

ActiveX controls are small applications that are installed to improve your surfing experience from your Internet Explorer browser.

Sometimes you can see, you changed or are causing problems in other aspects of your computer. You may also feel that an ActiveX control installed on your computer is a malicious piece of code. You can link into your Explorer settings to customize ActiveX controls. Level of difficulty: Moderately easy

Instructions

    Click the button "Start" in the lower left corner of the desktop.

    Type in the box "Internet Explorer".

  • Click on the link "Internet Explorer" from the displayed list.

    Select "Tools" from the toolbar at the top of the page.

  • Scroll down and select "Add Management."
  • 4

    Click on "download controls" to display the ActiveX controls you have installed.

  • 5

    Select the control you want to customize.

  • Click click the "disable" in the lower right, disable the ActiveX control, or click the "More information" link and click "Delete" remove from your computer.

    Click "Close".
