Microsoft has created the ActiveX frame for use with a Windows operating system.
The framework allows developers, programs to create additional functionality for Windows applications, including Internet Explorer browser add. Open an Internet Explorer browser window.

Open an Internet Explorer browser window.
Click on "Tools" in the Explorer bar, or select "Tools" from the menu bar at the top of the window.
Select the "Security" tab.
Click the "Custom" button.
Scroll the list of Internet Explorer security settings until you see the see "ActiveX controls and plug-in the".
Set "Download signed ActiveX controls" to "prompt".
Set "run ActiveX controls and plug-in the" and "Selected safe controls for scripting ActiveX scripts" to "enable".
Click "OK" on the two screens to confirm the changes.
Enable the installed ActiveX controls
Click on "Tools" in the Explorer bar, or select "Tools" from the menu bar at the top of the window.
Select "Mana"
Click the drop-down "View."
A click on the name, select ActiveX control, and then click the "Activate" enable the control button.
Click "Close".
