How: uninstall Windows Messenger, Windows Live Messenger

Microsoft Windows comes with pre-installed programs.

Windows Messenger is an instant-messaging system that is installed in Windows when your computer is generated. Instant messaging programs to send a message to someone else about it. There are several instant messenger download, including Windows Live Messenger which is hosted by Microsoft, but a different Messenger.    Close all open programs and applications to avoid losing work.

Go to "Start" and then "Control Panel".

Click on "Add or remove Windows components" on the left. This will allow all automatically installed Windows or factory-installed components.

Scroll to the program "Windows Messenger" and clear the check box.

Click on "continue". This starts the uninstall process. When you are prompted, click "Finish".

Restart the computer after the uninstallation is complete.

This ensures that all files have been deleted. Your system is now ready to download and install Windows Live Messenger.
