How: installing ActiveX 2.0

ActiveX components are used to improve the interactivity of a site.

These controls are with languages such as c# or Visual Basic that you created with Microsoft Internet Explorer browser not compatible. You can manually install component ActiveX 2.0 with a Windows application called "Regsvr32." The application registers and installs controls, can on your computer. Difficulty: average

    Click the button start and select "Run".

Appears in the text box, type you "cmd" and press "enter". This opens the Windows command prompt.

    Type "cd < location ActiveX >" in the command prompt and then press "enter".

  • Replace < ActiveX location > directory where your 2.0 ActiveX control. This moves the command prompt in the folder.
  • 3

    Type "regsvr32 < file > ActiveX" at the command prompt and press "enter".

  • Replace the DLL or OCX file is ActiveX 2.0 < ActiveX file > extension components. This command installs and registers the control on your computer.
