How: MSN Messenger for Windows Live Update

With the release of the Windows Vista operating system, Microsoft MSN Messenger for Windows Live Messenger Instant Messaging has renamed its native utility.

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system, you already have Windows Live Messenger on your computer installed. If you have an earlier version of Windows that contains MSN Messenger, you can upgrade but free Windows Live Messenger from Microsoft Web site. Difficulty: easy

    Open your Web browser.

    Go to the page of Microsoft's Windows Live Messenger (see references).

    Click on "Download now".

  • 4

    Open the Windows Live Messenger file once it has been downloaded.

    Click on "continue".

  • Setup utility uninstall MSN Messenger from your computer and then install the latest version of Windows Live Messenger in its place.
