How: installing ActiveX to a CAB.

ActiveX controls to navigate through the interactive content on the Web with Internet Explorer browser.

CAB files are compressed version of the ActiveX installation files. To install ActiveX, develop these CAB files. You may need administrative rights and permissions to perform this task. Level of difficulty: Medium difficult

Instructions

    On the start menu and select "Run...".

" Type "Msconfig" and press "enter". This will launch the system configuration tool.

    Click the "General" tab select the button "Add file"

    Click on "Browse file", navigate to the location on disk where the CAB file stored.

  • Click it and choose "Open".
  • 4

    Navigate to the desktop.

  • Click anywhere on the screen and select "New", select "new folder". Type a name for this folder, and press "enter".

    Click on "Browse file" new in the new folder to navigate, you just on the desktop created.

  • Single on the folder and click "Open".
  • 6

    Click on "Expand" to expand the CAB file.

  • 7

    Navigate to the desktop and then double-click the new folder.

  • Locate the file "setup.exe".
  • 8

    Double-click "setup.exe" to start the process of installing ActiveX.

  • Follow the instructions on the screen and click "Finish" to complete the installation.
