How: installing ActiveX on Vista

ActiveX controls are small programs that install on your computer to improve or supports the functionality of a site.

Microsoft developed ActiveX as an alternative to Java applets. ActiveX controls can be installed manually or automatically by Windows Vista. ActiveX controls automatically configure Vista install allows any Web site, that requires install your you to your computer without your permission. Conversely, opt for a manual installation requires that you ActiveX controls before you install to approve. Difficulty: easy

    Click the button "Start" menu and go to "Control Panel".

  • If you want Windows automatically install ActiveX controls when you visit a Web site that requires your, choose "automatically". Select Windows "Manual" If you want to ask ActiveX install. Click on "OK" to save your changes.
