As to the old Windows Live Messenger

Windows Live Messenger (formerly known as MSN Messenger is an instant messaging client that allows to discuss online with family, friends and colleagues.

This is a preferred method of communication, above all, because it's free. Over the years, several versions were published by Windows Live Messenger. There is a chance you are updated as a more recent version of the specific features or interface. Any reason whatsoever, to a new installation uninstall an older version. Instructions

    Uninstall the current version

    Navigate to the "Start" menu and navigate to the "Control Panel".

    Open "Add or remove programs".

    Scroll made through the list and find Windows Live Messenger.

    Click on "remove".

  • Now, the uninstall wizard appears started. Follow the instructions to remove the software from your computer.

    Download and install the old version

    Go to a site some older versions of Windows Live Messenger for download, such as e.g. oldVersion, Oldapps BrotherSoft provides (see "Sources" for links).

    Select a version from the list on the site.

  • Over the years, there were multiple imported versions you must select that you want to install.
