Difference between Windows Live and MSN Messenger

Windows Live Messenger is the service that replaced the MSN Messenger.

Although there are a number of similarities between the two programs, there are a lot of new features to Windows Live Messenger.

  1. MSN Messenger is a response to Yahoo! Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger for consumers for general use.
Windows Live Messenger is designed for companies with professional features and capabilities which benefit companies.

Features
  • MSN Messenger users to the avatar options available emoticons and user-defined functions.
  • Windows Live Messenger is professional to ensure straight. Chat is easier to use with a click of the mouse and no avatar there by default if you have deployed a photo.

    Mobile
  • MSN Messenger is not available in a mobile version for mobile phones.
  • However, Windows Live Messenger is available for smartphones.
