Enable Active scripting and ActiveX controls

To get the most out of your Internet Explorer experience navigation Web site, you must enable ActiveX controls in your application.

ActiveX controls are third-party IE plugins extend the functionality of the browser you can view dynamic and user friendly content. Some ActiveX controls are required to perform certain tasks or features on most modern Web sites. Level of difficulty: Moderately easy

Instructions

    Double-click on the icon "Internet Explorer" on the desktop or start start in the Web browser menu.

    The "Tools" menu option and click "Internet Options" link.

    Click the tab "Security" at the top of the window.

  • Select and highlight "Internet" as an option to change "Scope". Click the "Custom" button.

    Scroll through the list in the window "Zone settings" to "Internet ActiveX controls and plug-in the."

    Click the circle next to the option "run ActiveX controls and plug-in the" to activate it.

    Click to select "script ActiveX controls marked safe for S."

    Click "OK" button.

    Click "OK" button to close the Internet Options dialog box window.

    Close Internet Explorer.

  • When you start Internet Explorer, the Web browser uses the ActiveX settings enabled.
