How: activate the ActiveX control in Outlook

Sometimes when you use Microsoft Outlook, you receive an error message informing you that your security settings are not ActiveX controls.

This can prevent that by using the text formatting and animations in your e-Mail. Enable ActiveX fix these bugs and allow you to use the full functionality of Outlook. Level of difficulty: Moderately easy

    Determine your version of Microsoft Outlook.

Open your Outlook program. At the top of the screen you see a tab labeled "Help." Click this tab and select ' about Microsoft Outlook. "This your version number displays." Can also use this information you will find under if the load on your program.

    Change the security zone in earlier versions of Outlook 2000 and Outlook 98.

  • Open your version of Microsoft Outlook. Select a tab at the top of the page marked "Tools" and select "Options". Select "Security" to change the zone. If you are in a limited area, place it in a zone of confidence and enabled ActiveX.

    Enable ActiveX if the security prompt is displayed.

  • A message appears in the menu bar. Click the "Options" button. A dialog box appears and you can enable the content. This works in Microsoft Outlook 2007 version.

    Accept the ActiveX content when you are prompted in the dialog box.

  • If dialog box appears, select "OK" to display the content.
