Disabled Windows Messenger

Windows Messenger (aka Windows Live Messenger) is a program which allows you to communicate with family and friends to instant chat, video news and more.

Windows Messenger starts your computer automatically when you start you, what can be very annoying if you don't use it. If Windows Messenger to start, only, if you want to use it, you can stop quickly. Difficulty: easy

    In the Windows "Start" menu, and click "Run" or "Start Search".

Type "services.msc" (without quotes) and press "Enter" to start services console. You should a list of programs and applications that watch on your computer.

    Scroll down and double-click on "Windows Messenger (Windows XP) or"Windows Live Messenger "(Windows_Vista_und_7)".

  • "" Starts a new dialog box. Select "Disabled" in the "Startup type" box and click "Apply" to save the changes. Click "OK".

    Scroll in the right pane, and then double-click Windows Messenger.

  • Starts a new dialog box. Select the "Startup type" "Disabled". Click on "OK" to save the changes.

    Close the Services console.

  • You restart your computer to stop Windows Messenger. Windows Messenger does not start start if you your computer.
